Pastor Mike often says, “I was saved at seven, rededicated my life at fourteen, and have been walking with Him ever since.”

Raised in the church, he discovered his gifts early—playing drums at seven years old, singing in choirs, and sharing stories of faith long before he ever imagined stepping into the pulpit. Though he once insisted he would not be a preacher, God had other plans.

Since 2010, Pastor Mike has authored The Silent Angel Chronicles, an urban Christian fantasy series following angels assigned to protect humanity from demonic forces.

In 2012, after attending a leadership conference, he answered the call to ministry and accepted it under the leadership of Greater New Hope Baptist Church, where he faithfully served for 13 years. During that time, he earned a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Multnomah University (now Jessup University) and has helped lead the Smith family in their mission to relaunch Trinity Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Pastor Mike and Lady Jean first met as high school sweethearts and married in November 2011. They are the proud parents of three beautiful (and delightfully spoiled) children—Evangeline, Michael IV, and Abigail.
